Hello again been a while but I have some new information on the New Tyranid Broodlord coming with the Shield of Baal Campaign Boxset. While I was flicking through my new Shield of Baal: Leviathan Book I noticed something very interesting...

The End Times... Are Not Coming
Recently, day to day life has picked up dramatically for the both of us resulting in us being more busy than ever. As a result of this we have had less time to do painting and so even less time to blog about it.

Showcase: Ork Bommer
So, this has been a really enjoyable model to paint. It wasn't at first (SO MUCH RED) but by the end I was really getting into all the little details and things. More photos and an apology after the jump...

WIP: Attack Squad Solus #2
Here is an update on my strike force. There are a few posts that should be appearing over the next few days, that I haven't yet been able to take photos fro as I have either not been at home, the weather has been too poor for half decent lighting or I have been painting! More after the jump...

WIP: Lava Craters
I painted the majority of these up a while ago but still need to finish off a few details. It was really great that I managed to get hold of some water effects - I'm a very lucky person!

WIP: Honoured Imperium
Unfortunately it has been two months since the last painting article. And so, to celebrate our birthday, here is the first work in progress shot of my Honoured Imperium Statue - for an honoured website.
Happy Birthday Citadel of Paint!
Today this blog turns one year old. The first year has got off to a slow start and a few breaks but we hope to be more regular as time goes on.

Orks and HiRes Images
YoshKa and I have been scouring the internet for Orks and have attempted to obtain a better quality image of that currently circulating, from this ibooks preview, to confirm exactly what is what.

New Terminator Captain Agemman
This new Space Marine Terminator Captain has shown up again. This time it is in a White Dwarf preview of A Galaxy at War (The miniatures book from the 3 book collection). Along with this new picture comes annotations as to what is what. Read on after the jump for more...

New Plastic Terminator Captain Spotted?
I honestly cannot work out if this model, spotted in the psychic phase video on what's new today, is a kit bash or a new model. More after the jump.

Showcase: Imperial Knight Errant
I have absolutely LOVED painting this model and I can say that without a shadow of a doubt it is my favourite model - to build, paint and view on the battlefield.
GW Customer Service - Amazing!!!
After trouble with my order and a Web Exclusive Space Marine Captain, everything has been resolved and I am now 'Happy as Larry'. If the tone of my post dealt with me using words too extreme for the subject matter, I blame it on a heat of the moment annoyance and are not at all angry with Games Workshop at all (and apologise if I offended any of the warehouse team - you do an excellent job and I acknowledge that you can't always be perfect, we are all human).
A large thanks to Kyle from Games Workshop Customer services, who helped me out with the issue. I felt it was handled in the best way it could possibly have been handled and exceeded my expectations by miles.

All About Games Workshop...
I am not normally one to talk in a harsh way about Games Workshop, as I love pretty much most things they do. I very rarely dislike a model they make and couldn't care less what a unit's rules are - if I want them in my army I will put them in it.
So what is this post about you may ask? It all starts with an order I recently made involving the new Web Exclusive Space Marine Captain #1...

WIP: Imperial Knight Errant #5
Happy Easter everyone!!! My Imperial Knight has been fully painted now and all that is left to do is apply the transfers.

WIP: Imperial Knight Errant #4
This is a small update to show off skeletal details. The reason for such a short post is mainly because of my previously mentioned mistake in posting order.

WIP: Ironclad Dreadnought #1
Although I have already done a Crodon Sunday today, this is technically the main post as this is the one I have done one painting for. Here is the first model from Attack Squad Solus - my Ironclad Dreadnought. I have wanted to paint it for a while now and it isn't that difficult to do after all.
Attack Squad Solus
I have decided that it is time I have a restricted project to do, rather than just paint any of my models whenever I feel like it. This is where Attack Squad Solus comes in.

WIP: Terrain Time
This is Crodon, speaking to you from the past! Since I'm away currently this weekend, I needed a project that I could easily rustle up for my Sunday post.
I have scheduled this post to appear on the blog this Sunday if all goes according to plan. Read all about my ruined buildings and bubbling craters after the jump.

Tedious and Boring?
The one constant in any man's (or woman's) hobby life is not just undercoating and basecoating, but cleaning up as well.
White Dwarf Issue 5
The second week of Knights has come and along with it a while new Codex. Read on after the jump for a review of White Dwarf Issue 5.
Warhammer: Visions 2
Yet again another disappointing magazine. Read in two minutes flat. However if you have a subscription from the old White Dwarf, Keep it!!! This way you get the magazine at 2/5 of the price.
More of a review after the jump.
White Dwarf Weekly Issue List
This post will be updated each week and details the contents of each issue of White Dwarf. This post can be easily found in the "White Dwarf Archive" section in the right hand column of the blog.
EDIT JULY 2016: White Dwarf Weekly has officially ended its run. This is an archive of all 131 of the covers published as White Dwarf Weekly. New releases will instead be announced online every week.

White Dwarf Reviews
Sadly getting every White Dwarf, every week is not a realistic venture at £2.40 a pop. This means that reviews on the weekend of the release are going to have to stop. More info after the jump.

WIP: Grey Knight Techmarine #2 (+ Basing)
Off with another Crodon Sunday and this week it's big news: I'm changing my basing technique. This is an entire overhaul and repaint (coming soon) of all my previous bases. I hop in the near future to make a basing tutorial. More after the jump.

WIP: Grey Knight Techmarine #1 (+ Big Kits)
Today has been spent painting more of my Grey Knights and in particular any vehicles. I have also finally started painting my custom built techmarine. Pictures after the jump.
White Dwarf Issue 4
Sorry for not getting this review done yesterday, as I was either out or reading this!!! This is the first White Dwarf that I am properly excited about. This probably is mainly due to the fact that it is 40k (and Imperial as well). Full Review after the jump...

Imperial Knights: Piecing It Together
So much is known about this weekend's release, yet so little is know for certain about how the whole release for the Imperial Knights will look. At the end of the leaked White Dwarf it states: "Next Week: Freeblades". But what does this all mean, and why tell us what's coming next week?
More after the jump.

Readying for the Big Push
Today was not the most exciting of hobby days but a necessary evil: basing and spraying day. With now only 30 models left to base and all models sprayed I feel I have made quite an achievement.
I appreciate that spraying and basing pictures are probably not the most interesting, so today's Sunday post will show you the inside of my model cupboard where I hide some of my larger models. Pictures after the jump.
White Dwarf Issue 3
With the third issue of the new White Dwarf out, it would appear that although the format will be the same throughout each issue, there may possibly be some differences in the third issue of each series of releases. This welcome surprise comes in the form of both the Citadel Hall of Fame and a Battle Report - WITH WORDS!!! More after the jump.

Imperial Knights and Beyond
It is certainly an exciting time at the moment with leaks from the fourth issue of White Dwarf. The revelation of Codex: Imperial Knights and Codex: Legion of the Damned. More after the jump...

Retouching and Grey Knights
Today I took the decision to repaint some old models, desperately in need of my now more experienced hand. They are not near completion yet, so they are a little messy. Here are shots so far for my work this Sunday.
Enjoy

White Dwarf Issue 2
Another week means another White Dwarf and along with my paints today I picked up the second Issue of White Dwarf weekly (mainly because it made the price easier to pay, change wise).
So here is my next review of White Dwarf...

Images Back to Normal
I have absolutely no idea what happened to the images earlier on today but they have magically returned to normal. As a treat, here is some lovely artwork to keep your hobby hunger fed.

Image Faults
For some strange reason we are having some issues with our images showing up. I can't do anything about it now, but I would really appreciate if anyone could drop a comment below just to say what's not working for you (if anything).
This problem is mainly on the mobile version.
Thanks
Crodon

WIP: Sternguard Veterans #2
Finally my Sternguard Veteran Squad's Assembly is completed. It is astonishing just how much effort has to go into a single unit.
However I think the results are definitely worth it. More pictures after the jump...
The White Dwarf is Dead
With a new year, comes another new overhaul for Games Workshop's monthly magazine, and the introduction of - essentially - two new magazines: White Dwarf, Weekly and the all new Warhammer: Visions.
From the rumours I had heard, I was looking forward to the two new style magazines. White Dwarf would be their weekly advertising "catalogue", displaying the new releases (and obviously allowing for releases every week) and that Warhammer: Visisons would be more hobby orientated and more like the old White Dwarf, minus the advertising.
As I said I was looking forward to them, but now I'm not so sure...
Testing
This post is purely for technical reasons but feel free to browse these pictures.
Don't Worry There will be some more posts later on...

WIP: Sternguard Veterans #1
Time for my second Sunday Post, a series which shall be named Crodon Sunday's. (Of course this doesn't stop YoshKa posting on Sunday's). This is the first half of my third squad of Sternguard Veterans. (Possibly even Tyrannic War Veterans ;) - only the ones with bolters of course)

Tutorial: How to Paint Ork Boyz
So, with exams over for us both :D, I figured I should get posting and what better way to start it all off, than with a tutorial on a subject very dear to my heart - Ork Boyz!
This is an in depth and detailed tutorial for painting an Ork Boy in the Evil Sunz colours complete with high resolution images and detailed instructions. Full tutorial after the jump...
