WIP: Space Wolves Grey Hunters #1

So finally have done some work on the Grey Hunters from the Stormclaw boxset.  You can see these two are pretty much done except some details on the shoulder pads, which I plan to do on the whole squad at the end.  Read on for more pictures.

A Fresh New Start

So if you have paid the slightest bit of attention to this blog you will know by now that we are both terrible at posting for any length of time... While with our track record we cannot promise this will change, we are going to try our best going forward.  However onto todays post!  It has been probably been about 10 years or so since I created my ultramarine paint scheme and I feel like it's time for a change...

Armies on Parade 2016

We're BACK!!!  This year YoshKa and myself are finally getting round to doing our shared armies on parade project we've planned to do for the last couple of years...

A New Age is Dawning...

The End of Times have been and gone and right now it is time for a new age to begin.  The Age of...

New Space Marines: Assault Marines and More...

Finally we have some new images from White Dwarf Issue 70 courtesy of Tagriel who has already got a copy.  Thank you very much for being able to share this with us.  Here we can see the new assault marines in all their glory.  More leaked releases after the jump...

Warhammer: Visions is Changing (Again)

For better or for worse, Issue 16 of Warhammer: Visions will herald yet another rebirth...

NEW Broodlord with NEW BASE!

Hello again been a while but I have some new information on the New Tyranid Broodlord coming with the Shield of Baal Campaign Boxset.  While I was flicking through my new Shield of Baal: Leviathan Book I noticed something very interesting...

The End Times... Are Not Coming

Recently, day to day life has picked up dramatically for the both of us resulting in us being more busy than ever.  As a result of this we have had less time to do painting and so even less time to blog about it.

WIP: Attack Squad Solus #2

Here is an update on my strike force.  There are a few posts that should be appearing over the next few days, that I haven't yet been able to take photos fro as I have either not been at home, the weather has been too poor for half decent lighting or I have been painting!  More after the jump...

WIP: Lava Craters

I painted the majority of these up a while ago but still need to finish off a few details.  It was really great that I managed to get hold of some water effects - I'm a very lucky person!

WIP: Honoured Imperium

Unfortunately it has been two months since the last painting article.  And so, to celebrate our birthday, here is the first work in progress shot of my Honoured Imperium Statue - for an honoured website.

Happy Birthday Citadel of Paint!

Today this blog turns one year old.  The first year has got off to a slow start and a few breaks but we hope to be more regular as time goes on.

Waaagh! Da Orks are kummin'!!!!!!

We will crush da puny hummies wiv da big klaws of Gork an Mork!  Dakka dakka - Beware Grukk Face Rippa!!   Waaagh!!!

The Orks have taken over Citadel of Paint and aren't allowing for any humans to appear amongst these pages for as long as possible.

More and More Orks

It seems that this Ork release has the potential to be the longest release the Games Workshop has done (for a while at least).  Several Ork units, which need updating, have not been rumoured lately but some of their models have disappeared.  Deffkoptas are no longer available at the moment and if this release is only going to be four or five weeks, it doesn't look like we will get any models for them.

Orks and HiRes Images

YoshKa and I have been scouring the internet for Orks and have attempted to obtain a better quality image of that currently circulating, from this ibooks preview, to confirm exactly what is what.

New Terminator Captain Agemman

This new Space Marine Terminator Captain has shown up again.  This time it is in a White Dwarf preview of A Galaxy at War (The miniatures book from the 3 book collection).  Along with this new picture comes annotations as to what is what.  Read on after the jump for more...

New Plastic Terminator Captain Spotted?

I honestly cannot work out if this model, spotted in the psychic phase video on what's new today, is a kit bash or a new model.  More after the jump.

Showcase: Imperial Knight Errant

I have absolutely LOVED painting this model and I can say that without a shadow of a doubt it is my favourite model - to build, paint and view on the battlefield.

GW Customer Service - Amazing!!!

After trouble with my order and a Web Exclusive Space Marine Captain, everything has been resolved and I am now 'Happy as Larry'.  If the tone of my post dealt with me using words too extreme for the subject matter, I blame it on a heat of the moment annoyance and are not at all angry with Games Workshop at all (and apologise if I offended any of the warehouse team - you do an excellent job and I acknowledge that you can't always be perfect, we are all human).

A large thanks to Kyle from Games Workshop Customer services, who helped me out with the issue.  I felt it was handled in the best way it could possibly have been handled and exceeded my expectations by miles.

All About Games Workshop...

I am not normally one to talk in a harsh way about Games Workshop, as I love pretty much most things they do.  I very rarely dislike a model they make and couldn't care less what a unit's rules are - if I want them in my army I will put them in it.

So what is this post about you may ask?  It all starts with an order I recently made involving the new Web Exclusive Space Marine Captain #1...
